Horse Shoe Embroidery by Jacob Hess: This embroidered piece was made by Jacob Hess, father of John W. Hess. Jacob died in Pigsaw, Iowa, in 1846. The embroidery was given to Bill Hess September 11, 2012. Bill left it with Christy Hess Garner the same day. Barabara Hess Cook returned it to Bill Hess, and on July 22, 2013, those attending the Hess Family Reunion voted to donate it to the Farmington Historical Museum.
